What is the best way to contact American Icon?

How do I place an order?
We always recommend that you fill out our Quote Form prior to placing your final order. 
Once you have received your quote back from our sales department, here is what to do to place your order: 

1. Send your complete order info to info@americaniconmerch.com

Here is the initial information that we will need:
- Comapany Name/Band Name
- Shipping address / phone number
- Design Name
- Quantity (minimum apparel order is 24 pieces)
- Breakdown of Sizes
- Garment Style (ex: Standard T-Shirt, Fashion T-Shirt, Zip-Up Hood, etc)
- Garment color
- Number of colors in design (if printing on dark shirts See: "What is an underbase?" below)
- Payment type (we accept cash, check, credit cards, or paypal)
- Shipping or Pick-Up
- Email address for tracking info
- Order Deposit
- Low resolution image/mock up of your design (JPG)

2. Send your final hi-resolution print ready artwork to dan@americaniconmerch.com.
Once received, we will proof the art to make sure that it is print ready.

What are your hours of business?
Our office hours are 9am to 5pm eastern time Monday thru Friday.  
Orders can be picked at our warehouse up from 9 am to 4 pm eastern time Monday thru Friday.

Can you print all over an entire t-shirt? / Do you offer all-over/belt printing?
We  do not offer this type of printing.  Our max print area for adult t-shirts is 15" wide x 20" tall, which will mostly fill an adult small t-shirt from top to bottom and seam to seam.

Do you print with discharge or water based inks?
We offer discharge printing at an additional charge. Please check out our Services Page for details on discharge inks. We also offer traditional water based ink printing on light colored garments at an additional charge. please contact one of our sales reps today for more info.


What are considered "Specialty Inks"?
Specialty Inks are inks such as Metallic Gold, Metallic Silver, Glow In Dark, Reflective, Discharge, Waterbased, etc. These inks carry an additional charge.


What is your maximum print area?
Our maximum print size for t-shirts is 15" wide x 20" tall.
Our maximum print size for zip up hoods is 15" wide X 18" tall.

What brands of shirts do you use?
We offer both 50/50 and 100% cotton standard t-shirts from major brands such as Gildan, Fruit of the Loom, Hanes, Jerzees, Anvil, and Alstyle. We also offer premium fashion fit t-shirts from many current manufacturers including Next Level, Gildan Soft Style, Bella/Canvas, Alstyle, American Apparel, and Tultex at an additional charge.

Are 50/50 shirts better than 100% cotton shirts?
Our opinion is that 100% cotton shirts will give you a better print. 100% Cotton shirts are the only option for discharge prints, as 50/50 shirts do not react propery with these specialty inks.


What is your turnaround time?
Standard turnaround is 7 to 10 BUSINESS DAYS on apparel screen printing orders.  This time period begins when we have received the following info:
- Final Approved Hi-Resolution/Vector Artwork
- Confirmed Order Details (See Above: How do I place an order?)
- Order Deposit
Note: Special ordered goods may take longer. Rush orders are available at an additional charge.


Do you have a color chart for shirts that you print on?

What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Cash, Checks, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Paypal.


When is payment due?
We require a minimum 50% deposit on all orders.  We also require  that a credit card be on file before we start your order.  We don't run your card until the job is completed. Even if you are using cash, check, or paypal, we need some sort of security that the job is going to be paid for.  All new customers are required to pay 100% of their order up front.


What is "underbase" print?
When printing on dark shirts we need to put down a layer of white ink under the colors to make the the colors stand out, this is called an "underbase". This "underbase" will count as an additional print color in your design, even if there is visually no white in your design. We also offer a discharge ink underbase as an alternate option for getting a softer print on dark shirts.


How much does shipping cost?
A regular box holds 72 t-shirts, and weighs roughly 34 pounds.  You can estimate how much it is going to cost by using your zip code and ours (12550).
